The English contemporary naturalist, writer and farmer, John Lewis-Stempel, on being asked how you became a nature writer, replied something like this: “You need to do two things. You need to go outside, and you need to stay out there.”

    • Hi John. Good to hear from you. It is equally weird to get a message from someone you have quoted. Almost like getting a comment about his mother from Hamlet! Love the books, by the way. Congrats on the Wainwright prize. Keep going with the re-wilding. Steve
